Nuestro artista de este sábado es Benjamin Shine, de nacionalidad britanica, que vive y trabaja en Londres, donde también curso sus estudios en diseño de moda antes de abrir su estudio creativo en el 2003.
Fascina su obra artística textil, con sus imágenes vaporosas que parecen suspendidas en el aire. Sus creaciones están hechas con tules de colores. Normalmente son monocolor, aunque en ocasiones combina 2 colores diferentes.
Su temática preferida son personas bailando o rostros, estos muchas veces inacabados, con los ojos expresivos o bien cerrados, a veces también son retratos de famosos. Es sorprendente lo que acaba creando con solo tul y sus manos. Las imágenes se consiguen doblando y cosiendo a mano el tul, y fijándolas a continuación con la plancha.
El lo llama “pintar con telas” y sus creatividad parece ilimitada. Su labor es reconocida mundialmente y expone en instalaciones y renombradas galerías de arte en el mundo entero. Entre sus clientes internacionales están los mas famosos personajes, y los premios de este multidisciplinario artista son muy numerosos.

Painting with tulle
Our artist of this Saturday is Benjamin Shine, a British national, who lives and works in London, where he also studied fashion design before setting up his creative studio in 2003.
He fascinates us with his artistic textile work, with those vaporous images that seem suspended in the air. His creations are made with colored tulles. They are usually monocolor, although sometimes he combines 2 different colors.
His favorite themes are people dancing or faces, these often unfinished, with expressive eyes, however also often closed eyes, sometimes they are also famous portraits. It is amazing what he ends up creating with only tulle and his hands. The images are obtained by folding and sewing the tulle by hand, and then fixing them with the iron.
He calls it “painting with tulle” and his creativity seems unlimited. His work is recognized worldwide and exhibited in installations and renowned art galleries throughout the world. Among his international clients are the most famous characters, and the prizes won by this multidisciplinary artist are very numerous.
