Jennifer Anderson es nuestra artista de la semana. Con sus retratos en acuarela se ha creado un nombre a través de numerosas exposiciones, tanto en su Escocia natal como en diversas partes del mundo. Y ha ganado importantes premios internacionales en reconocimiento de su singular arte.

Especializada en rostros femeninos, nos deleita con bellezas asiáticas y a veces nórdicas. Mas habitualmente sus modelos son de tez dorada y pelo negro azabache, sus miradas enigmáticas dejan vislumbrar parte de su vida interior, pero dejando la mayor parte de ella en misterio.

Domina la técnica de la acuarela con gran habilidad y deja a menudo los alrededores inacabados y los ropajes se confunden con el fondo al emplear tonos muy similares. Así consigue darle mas énfasis al rostro que asoma de repente sin pertenecer a un espacio concreto.

Watercolor Portraits

Jennifer Anderson is our artist of the week. With her watercolor portraits she has obtained fame through numerous exhibitions, both in her native Scotland and in various parts of the world. And she has won important international awards in recognition of her unique art.

Specialized in feminine faces, she delights us with Asian and sometimes Nordic beauties. More usually her models are with golden complexion and jet black hair, their enigmatic looks let glimpse part of their inner lives, but leaving most of it in mystery.

She masters the technique of watercolor with great skill and often leaves the surroundings unfinished and the garments are confused with the background by using very similar tones. This way, it gives more emphasis to the face that appears suddenly without belonging to a specific space.
