I am pleased to show today the textile work of the Australian artist Michelle Mischkulnig. Her creations are spontaneous, full of color and of a great diversity of shapes, a work of great complexity and an extraordinary charisma.
The motifs look like illustrations from fairytale books; It is about trees, flowers, little animals in beautiful colors with infinite shades, sometimes pale, sometimes vibrant. Michelle combines color with great sensitivity and creates works that fill those who contemplate it with joy.
Her technique is mixed, she uses mostly the sewing machine, but there are also hand embroidered parts. Its flowers and leaves are sometimes quilted or felted, and sometimes consist of a single layer of fabric or fine woven threads. That's why the work presents an unusual complexity and that's why it's so captivating.
This is her website https://chelletextiles.com.au/ so you can see more of her work so authentic and expressive. Enjoy it.
