Nuestra artista de la semana se llama Julie Edmunds y es una artista muy versátil, que trabaja en diferentes campos del arte. En donde destaca de sobremanera es en la creación de mosaicos compuestos por cristales multicolor.

Trabajar con estos minúsculos vidrios es su pasión, ya que con ellos puede expresar al máximo su gran dominio del color. Este siempre es protagonista absoluto y ella es maestra en combinarlo de forma sublime, tanto si los trabajos son tono en tono, o si son de contraste.

Los mosaicos de vidrio de color tienen la virtud de que en su conjunto pueden apreciarse de maneras diferentes, según desde que ángulo entra la luz a iluminarlos, la misma luz que les da vida a cada una de estas exquisitas piezas.

En su natal Inglaterra y también fuera de ella Julie Edmunds es muy conocida, habiendo participado en multiples exposiciones. Vive y trabaja en la pequeña localidad de Hertfordshire, Reino Unido.

Coloured crystals

Our artist of the week is Julie Edmunds and she is a very versatile artist who works in different fields of art. Where she excels is in the creation of mosaics composed of multicolored crystals.

Working with these tiny glass pieces is her passion, since with them she can express to the maximum her great mastery of color. Color is always the absolute protagonist and she is the master at combining it in a sublime manner, whether the works are tone in tone, or if they are in contrast.

The colored glass mosaics have the virtue that as a whole they can be seen in different ways, according to the angle from which the light enters to illuminate them, the same light that gives life to each of these exquisite pieces.

In her native England and also outside of it Julie Edmunds is well known, having participated in multiple exhibitions. She lives and works in the small town of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom.
