El artista presentado esta semana es Jeremy Lipking, un extraordinario pintor del siglo 21. Su obra es realista y poética al mismo tiempo. Elige la figura humana como motivo preferente y dentro de ello se interesa mas que nada por el rostro con su particular expresión.

Sus personajes parecen emerger de un tiempo remoto, no pocas veces son indios sus protagonistas. Cuando pinta paisajes, la escena al completo también parece estar sumergida en el pasado. Con pinceladas rapidas, a veces inacabadas, y a veces con todo imaginable detalle, le inflinge vida a todos sus personajes.

In the prior post about paintings we heard about Karl Martens

The artist presented this week is Jeremy Lipking, an extraordinary 21st century painter. His work is realistic and poetic at the same time. He chooses the human figure as his preferential motive, and he is most interested in the face with its particular expression.

His characters seem to emerge from a remote time, not infrequently there are Indians his protagonists. When painting landscapes, the whole scene also seems to be submerged in the past. With quick strokes, sometimes unfinished, and sometimes with every imaginable detail, he inflicts life to all his characters.
