Hoy vamos con Deb Steele, una artista estadounidense, creadora de Joyería Fina. Ella las diseña y las crea manualmente, siempre inspirándose en la naturaleza, porque sus motivos son orgánicos, espirales, entrelazados, hojas y arboles. Cada pieza es única y eso le da valor de obra artística.

Otra cosa característica de su obra es que incorpora en sus diseños a menudo piedras preciosas o semi-precios, perlas o simples cristales pulidos por el mar. Trabaja principalmente la plata, que en ocasiones cubre con 22-24 k de oro, y mezcla la arcilla de plata, porque al ser esta posible moldearla y esculpir sobre ella, le da mucho mas juego, mas libertad en sus diseños. Desde que descubrió este material adquirió mas versatilidad que la que podría haber obtenido de métodos tradicionales de creación de joyería.

Internacionalmente galardonada, participante de importantes exposiciones, hoy se puede encontrar su obra en Dragon Fire Gallery en Cannon Beach.

Silver and Silver Clay Jewelry

Today we go with Deb Steele, an American artist, creator of Fine Jewelry. She designs them and she makes them by hand, always inspired by nature, being her motifs organic, spiral, intertwined, leaves and trees. Each piece is unique and that gives it value as an artistic work.

Another characteristic feature of her work is that she often incorporates in her designs precious or semi-precious stones, pearls or simple crystals polished by the sea. She works mainly silver, which sometimes she covers with 22-24 k gold, and mixes it with silver clay, because it is possible to mold and sculpt on it, such giving much more play, more freedom to her designs. Since she discovered this material, she acquired more versatility than she could have obtained from traditional methods of jewelry creation.
