Today I have selected for you an artist with very special characteristics, it is Luis Alvarez Torezano, born in La Coruña / Spain in 1957.
His professional career is developed in the field of Architecture and he has always combined his work as an architect with his vocation as a painter. In his art he has found a very special technique, giving a unique stamp to his paintings.
100% focused on the human face - more women than men - with his personalized chiaroscuro he manages to show the strong personality of each of his characters. The looks are deep, even disturbing at times, they convey mystery and seduction.
His chiaroscuro however has a wide color palette. Although he works a lot with blacks and whites, he does not lack primary, striking colors, which give him something that makes him so different and by which his own special style is recognized.
